On the Easter day I am receiving a call from my very good friend Segun, who is in the States: “Happy Easter Marius! Look brother! One of my friends from Lagos is in London these days, he is going to propose his girlfriend and he wants to do some engagement photos around the city! Are you available tomorrow because he is leaving to Lagos on Tuesday?“
When it is about taking pictures I am not thinking too much. I knew London won’t be crowded the day after Easter so I said I can do the job, as engagement sessions are my favourites among all the photo sessions. My only concern was the weather as it was raining for few days (but I am used to winter engagement sessions). I called Ashiwaju and we planned to go around Canary Wharf. He accepted and he also said we’re going to do it even if it is going to rain. Good way of thinking! “Fearless guys” I said in my mind!
Canary Wharf Engagement Photos
What you can do on a bloody cold day? We only had one option: to move as much as we could, as it was really windy. Canary Wharf is the perfect place for engagement photos for couples in love with modern architecture, reflexions and geometry. Oseme and Ashiwaju looked like they were connected to that place, both of them are working in the finance sector. We’ve spent about an hour and a half walking around. In vain we waited a few rays of sun to play with light, the sun did not appear. Such a pity!
Tower Bridge Engagement Photos
Gabriela, who was helping me through the day, bought some tea to help us stay warm. Then we had the idea to go around Tower Bridge for some photos. If you are coming to London for your engagement photos it is mandatory not to miss having Tower Bridge in the frames, as it is an iconic London landmark. Before getting there we took the underground from Canary Wharf to London Bridge, a good opportunity to take some more photos for Oseme and Ashiwaju to show that they got engaged in London.
